Shipping policy

SHIPPING POLICY

Orí Adé ships from Lagos, Nigeria.

This Shipping Policy explains how we process, dispatch, and deliver orders.

1. ORDER PROCESSING

Orders are processed after payment confirmation.

Ready-to-ship items are usually processed within 2–5 business days.

Made-to-order, custom, altered, embroidered, special-size, special-colour, event, family, wedding, agbada, kaftan, or private client orders require additional production time. The estimated timeline will depend on the product, fabric, handwork, order quantity, and customer requirements.

Business days do not include Sundays, public holidays, courier closure days, or days when operations are affected by events outside our control.

2. NIGERIA DELIVERY

We deliver within Lagos, Abuja, and other parts of Nigeria using available delivery partners.

Estimated delivery after dispatch:
- Lagos: 1–3 business days
- Abuja: 2–5 business days
- Other Nigerian states: 3–7 business days

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on courier schedules, address accuracy, weather, security conditions, public holidays, or customer availability.

3. INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

International orders are shipped from Lagos, Nigeria to selected countries.

Estimated delivery after dispatch:
- DHL Express or similar courier: usually 5–10 working days after dispatch, depending on destination and customs clearance.

International delivery times are estimates only. Customs delays, import checks, courier issues, public holidays, or local delivery conditions may affect delivery.

4. SHIPPING FEES

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout or communicated before order confirmation.

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or applicable law requires otherwise.

5. CUSTOMS, DUTIES AND TAXES

International customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees, clearance charges, and local government fees charged by their country.

These charges are not included in the product price or shipping fee unless clearly stated.

We cannot control or predict customs charges.

If a customer refuses delivery, fails to pay customs charges, or does not complete clearance, the customer remains responsible for:
- Original shipping cost
- Return shipping cost
- Customs fees
- Duties and taxes
- Courier charges
- Storage fees
- Any loss or damage caused by non-clearance

6. DELIVERY ADDRESS

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, phone number, email address, and delivery instructions.

We are not responsible for failed delivery, lost parcels, delayed parcels, or extra charges caused by:
- Wrong address
- Incomplete address
- Wrong phone number
- Customer unavailable
- Customer refusing delivery
- Customer failing to respond to courier
- Security restrictions at the delivery location

If an order is returned to us because of incorrect customer information or failed delivery, the customer must pay for redelivery.

7. TRACKING

Where tracking is available, we will provide tracking details after dispatch.

Tracking updates are controlled by the courier and may take time to appear.

8. RISK OF LOSS

Once an order has been handed to the courier, delivery is handled by the courier.

We will support customers where possible, but we are not responsible for courier delays, customs delays, failed delivery attempts, or delivery issues caused by incorrect customer information.

9. DAMAGED PARCELS

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, take photos before opening it and contact us immediately.

- Photos of inner packaging
- Photos of item
- Delivery date
- Description of issue

10. EVENT DEADLINES

Customers buying for weddings, engagements, birthdays, travel, ceremonies, or events should order early.

We are not responsible for missed events where the customer ordered too close to the event date, supplied late information, delayed payment, gave incorrect details, or where courier/customs delays occur.

11. STORE PICKUP

Where pickup is available, customers must wait for confirmation before visiting to collect.

A valid order confirmation, payment confirmation, or identification may be required.
