ÀKÓGUN - An easy-to-shape OríAdé cap crafted in black velevet fabric and finished with champagne-gold beadwork.
The embroidery features a flowing leaf-and-vine motif, a pattern associated in Yorùbá culture with growth, abundance, continuity and prosperity.
Beadwork also carries royal and ceremonial significance within Yorùbá tradition, historically appearing in the regalia of royalty, chiefs and spiritual leaders. Against the black fabric, the champagne-gold detailing gives ÀKÓGUN a sense of prestige, wisdom and quiet distinction.
